Kari Samantha (born April 28th on 1967) Wuhrer is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer made her acting debut in her teens. Her most well-known role was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as the role of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. Her father was the eldest of three siblings. She started singing at clubs as a teenager, and often would leave her house to sing. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School from 13 years old, she studied drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. She was born on April 28, 1967, and was raised in Brookfield, Connecticut. She is the daughter a German-American father and a mother who is German-American. Kari has three brothers and sisters. When she was in her teens, she performed in nightclubs by slipping away to take a break. Kari started acting in the Wooster School when she was 13 and then went into drama school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the renowned Uta Hagen. Kari started acting when she was still in the teen years. Her debut big breakthrough on MTV Remote Control in 1987.
